A .rowkeptbackup file is a ZIP archive containing a versioned manifest, human-readable JSON data, checksums, and copied-in pattern PDFs.

Restore contract

RowKept validates the manifest, schema, checksums, project relationships, and PDF inventory before changing your library. Restore applies in one transaction. A failure leaves the existing library unchanged.

Conflicts

Keep both is the default. Replace everything is separate, requires explicit confirmation, and creates a pre-restore safety snapshot.

Version 1 contents

The manifest records format version, app version, creation time, project count, and SHA-256 checksums. The data file records projects, counters, reminders, event history, and PDF reading position. Pattern PDFs remain separate files inside the archive.
